BEADED WREATH PATTERN
Tatting Exchange - October 1999
Designed, worked and copywrighted by Helen Bailey

Worked in 2 rounds - see diagram. 36 beads are
required.
All rings 12 bj* 2 p 2 bj 12
All chains 4 p 3 p 3 p 3 p 3 p 4
(*bj = beaded join)
This is a very useful technique for adding beads without having
to put them on the thread before you start to tat. In order to do
this you MUST make sure that the picots are going to be big
enough to take the bead and allow room to make the join. When you
come to a beaded join, thread the bead onto the crochet hook,
hook onto the picot, slide the bead onto the picot, make the join.
The join is covered by the bead. I assure you it is easier to do
than explain!
If worked in DMC Cordonnet 40 it measures 3.5 inches diametre.
