EASTER EGG PATTERN

The egg is worked in 4 parts: a Separate Clover, then 3 rounds.
For starting positions, see line diagram below.
40 seed beads are required. 8 are added at beaded
joins on Round 1.
32 are threaded onto the shuttle thread for Round 2.
Instructions
Separate Clover
Ring A 5 p 3 p 3 p 6 p 5
Ring B 5 + (to last picot of previous ring) 3 p 6 p 3 p

Round One

Round Two - Dont forget
to put 32 seed beads on shuttle thread.

bj = beaded join
This is a very useful technique for adding beads without having
to put them on the thread before you start to tat. In order to do
this you MUST make sure that the picots are going to be big
enough to take the bead and allow room to make the join. When you
come to a beaded join, thread the bead onto the crochet hook,
hook onto the picot, slide the bead onto the picot, make the join.
The join is covered by the bead. I assure you it is easier to do
than explain!
